You sit behind a computer all day. You see a name on your screen — not realizing that this is a person with a life, a family, friends, hopes, and dreams. Then you destroy that life by electing them; and I get it. There’s only so much you can do. But once the day is over, you go home, collect a paycheck, and forget about it. That’s what I can’t seem to understand. Tess Alley
About This Quote

A person needs to understand the effect their actions have on people. The person behind the computer isn’t the only person affected by the decisions that are made by politicians. Every day people wake up with anxiety or fear of the day ahead, but they push it aside because they don’t understand what is happening around them. If someone decided to take their paycheck and spent it on something they didn’t need it would be beneficial for them; but instead they spend it on things that make no difference in their lives. People need to understand what the politicians do and why it affects them, but instead they blindly follow along not understanding the effects of their actions.
